About Tranquility Therapy
A space to pause, reflect and be heard
At Tranquility Therapy, we want to create a space where counselling feels approachable, welcoming and centred around the individual.
Life can sometimes feel difficult to navigate. There may be a particular situation you're trying to work through, a change you're struggling to adjust to, or perhaps a sense that things simply aren't feeling quite right.
You may have spent a long time managing on your own, putting other people first or telling yourself that things aren't really bad enough to seek support.
Counselling can give you the opportunity to pause and have some time dedicated entirely to you.
Whether you know exactly what you'd like to explore or you're not quite sure where to begin, you are welcome here.
Tranquility Therapy offers counselling for adults through both face-to-face and online sessions, providing a confidential space to talk, reflect and explore whatever is bringing you to counselling.
You don't need to have all the answers before you take the first step.

Our Approach
Counselling that starts with you
We believe that counselling is most effective when you feel comfortable enough to be yourself and when you feel genuinely heard and understood.
Our approach is person-centred, compassionate and collaborative. Rather than providing you with a set of answers or telling you what you should do, we will work alongside you to explore what is happening for you and what you would like to change.
You are the expert in your own life. Our role is to provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences, perhaps making connections or gaining perspectives that can be difficult to find when you're dealing with things on your own.
There is no right or wrong way to do counselling.
Some people arrive knowing exactly what they want to talk about, while others simply know that they aren't feeling themselves and need somewhere to start. We can work at a pace that feels manageable for you, and you remain in control of what you choose to explore.
We also recognise that everyone's circumstances and experiences are different. We won't make assumptions about what you need or what your journey should look like. Instead, we'll take the time to understand your experience and what matters to you.
For us, counselling isn't about changing who you are. It's about creating the space to understand yourself more deeply, explore what may be holding you back and consider what you need moving forward.
A place where you can be yourself
Our hope is that, from our first conversation, you feel welcomed rather than judged, listened to rather than analysed, and supported rather than told what to do.
Wherever you are starting from, we'll start there together.
